Hello, I'm Emilia, the proud owner of The Beautiful Mind Academy. Ever since my early years, I harbored a deep-seated passion for teaching. This passion propelled me to pursue a Masters in Education, and as my journey unfolded, I found myself drawn to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), particularly in the context of supporting children with autism. I learned very quickly that the ABA principals can be applied to every individual and it had a very positive outcome on learning and overall living.
The path to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) was a fulfilling one for me. I discovered that teaching, coupled with the principles of ABA, created a powerful combination. This realization ultimately shaped the foundation of The Beautiful Mind Academy.
What sets my tutoring center apart is its unwavering commitment to recognizing and addressing the unique learning styles and paces of individual students. Understanding that each child is distinctive, I approach education with a personalized touch. I go beyond the conventional tutoring model by crafting programs tailored to the specific needs of each student.
To achieve this, I actively engage in interviews with parents and conduct direct assessments to comprehend the distinctive requirements of each learner. The insights gained from these assessments and interviews serve as the guiding force behind the development of customized programs. I believe in the power of individualization; hence, my teaching methods are not one-size-fits-all.
At The Beautiful Mind Academy, we implement a mastery criteria to ensure that all learners not only grasp the concepts but also retain the information. This ensures a solid foundation upon which future learning can be built. I am committed to cultivating skills that extend beyond the classroom, skills that will be valuable throughout their lives.
